Wham!- Freedom

Wham!은 1985년 서구권 팝 그룹으로는 처음으로 중국에서 공연을 하게 되는데, 이 당시의 영상은 편집되어 몇달 째 뮤직비디오 없이 인기몰이를 하던 싱글, [Freedom]에 쓰인다. 당시 중국- 혹은 중화인민 공화국- 에 대한 서양의 시선을 엿볼 수 있는 대목.

90년에 조지 마이클이 솔로 아티스트로서 발표하는 [Freedom! 90]과는 전혀 다른 곡이니 주의하자.... 이렇게 쓰니 무슨 초등학생 용 과학 백과에 나오는 말투 같네...

여담이지만, Wham!의 노래들 중 가장 달콤한 멜로디를 가졌다고 생각한다. 살짝 쉰 목소리로 부르는 마지막 소절의 매력은 덤.
